The position is based in Alpharetta, GA, but requires the ability to travel to large industrial steel mills, as needed. This is a full-time opportunity where you will earn $120,000 to $135,000 per year, depending on your experience. This role focuses on Programmable Logic Controllers, Distributed Control Systems, and Human Machine Interface based systems that combine hardware and software to deliver high-performance industrial solutions. As an Engineer, you will work closely with internal teams and customers to develop, implement, and improve automation solutions across complex projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing, engineering, and integrating PLC, DCS, and HMI-based automation and control systems. Developing system specifications, schematics, and supporting technical documentation. Leading system testing, commissioning, and implementation activities. Providing technical expertise across process and application integration. Recommending and supporting initiatives for productivity improvement, quality enhancement, cost reduction, and increased customer satisfaction. Supporting multiple concurrent projects. Working collaboratively with global engineering and customer teams. To qualify for this engineering opportunity, we require you to have: At least 10 years of relevant experience in automation, controls, or systems engineering. A strong background in PLC, DCS, and HMI systems within industrial environments. Experience designing and implementing complex integrated hardware and software systems. The ability to work directly with customers in a consultative engineering role. The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
