Approximately 40% day travel throughout Illinois Position Overview Basic ITS is seeking a Network Implementation Specialist to support the deployment and configuration of enterprise communication solutions within healthcare environments. This role is a great opportunity for someone with IT support or networking experience looking to gain hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, wireless, and voice technologies while working alongside experienced project teams. This is a client-facing position requiring strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while supporting network implementation projects. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and deploy network and communication equipment including LAN, WAN, wireless, and voice solutions. Support wireless network deployments, LAN implementations, and VoIP migrations. Perform basic troubleshooting of network, communication, and IT equipment. Document project activities, update technical documentation, and communicate progress with project teams and clients. Work alongside Project Managers and Implementation Coordinators to complete deployments and upgrades. Assist with technology implementations while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism. Travel to various client sites throughout Illinois as needed. Required Qualifications 1-3 years of networking experience preferred. Experience with LAN/WAN environments preferred. Associate degree in Networking, IT, Communications, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Teams, and Excel. Strong customer service mindset and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders. Additional Requirements Ability to travel to customer sites throughout Illinois (approximately 40%). Must have reliable transportation and the ability to drive company/rental vehicles. Ability to work occasional after-hours or weekend support during escalations. Comfortable performing physical tasks related to networking, including equipment installation, switch/router placement, and data center work.
