Job Requirements Scott AFB, IL Top Secret/SCI Polygraph Unspecified Career Level not specified $70,000 - $100,000 Job Description Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Joint Fires Network Engineer to support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) at Scott AFB, Illinois and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. This position supports the 24x7 DISA Global Operations Center (DGOC), ensuring the availability, performance, and resiliency of critical DoD network infrastructure and communications systems. Responsibilities of the Joint Fires Network Engineer include: Execute network operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting across enterprise transport and IP networks, including routers, switches, and optical transport systems. Perform real-time circuit rerouting and network restoration activities during planned and unplanned outages. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents while documenting actions through incident and change management processes. Coordinate with government customers, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure maximum network availability and mission success. Support hardware replacements, software configurations, network upgrades, and proactive alarm surveillance utilizing network management tools. Qualifications for the Joint Fires Network Engineer include: Active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility active in DISS required Current Security+ CE (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification) 4+ years of experience supporting network operations, network engineering, transport networks, or NOC environments Hands-on experience with Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, including routers, switches, firewalls, routing protocols, and network troubleshooting Experience supporting Cisco and/or Juniper networking technologies, MPLS, optical transport networks, SDH/SONET, or telecommunications infrastructure preferred Compensation for the Joint Fires Network Engineer includes:
