Key Responsibilities:
Shape the network's logical architecture and oversee the rollout, setup, and ongoing configuration of equipment Keep the network running smoothly by managing upgrades and hardware refresh cycles, identifying areas that need improvement, and diagnosing and resolving issues as they come up Coordinate installation, maintenance, and outage-response activities with customers, support teams, customer service representatives, and field engineers Work as part of a collaborative team driving projects, upgrades, and best practices that minimize downtime and service interruptions Take part in an on-call rotation roughly every six weeks
Requirements:
Associate's degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience Hands-on experience working within a Cisco network environment Solid knowledge of Internet protocols, routing and switching, OTN, GPON, VoIP, and troubleshooting Familiarity with network infrastructure Industry certifications Experience configuring, implementing, and supporting network equipment
Preferred:
Fiber and telecom knowledge
