Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Network Specialist to join our Team! The Network Specialist will maintain and support company network infrastructure as well as ensure reliable and secure connectivity across all company sites. The role reports directly to the IT Assistant Manager. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with possible overtime. Travel is also required at times and would require a Valid Driver's License. This role is fully onsite and does not offer any hybrid or remote options.

Responsibilities:
Network Administration and Support Administer, maintain, and support LAN, WAN, WLAN, internet, VPN, and site-to-site connectivity across company sites Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, network appliances, and related infrastructure, including Cisco Meraki or similar technologies Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or high-impact network incidents, performance problems, and connectivity issues Monitor network availability and performance using PRTG or similar tools and troubleshoot connectivity issues involving workstations, servers, phones, cameras, manufacturing equipment, warehouse devices, and other connected systems Maintain network services and technologies including DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing, switching, NAT, VPNs, QoS, and wireless authentication Coordinate circuit installations, upgrades, outages, and repairs with internet, telecommunications, and other service providers Network Security Configure and maintain firewalls, access controls, VPN connections, network segmentation, and secure remote-access solutions Monitor network alerts, logs, and security events and support vulnerability remediation, configuration hardening, firmware updates, and incident-response activities Maintain appropriate network segmentation and access controls for corporate, production, guest, camera, voice, and other device networks Follow established security, change-management, and approval practices for network access and configuration changes Infrastructure Projects and Improvements Plan and implement network upgrades, equipment replacements, new-site deployments, plant expansions, and infrastructure-improvement projects Evaluate network capacity and recommend improvements to support business growth, new technologies, and manufacturing requirements Coordinate network-related projects with local IT teams, facilities personnel, contractors, vendors, and equipment integrators Support the design and deployment of structured cabling, fiber connectivity, network closets, racks, UPS equipment, and related infrastructure Develop and maintain standards for network hardware, configurations, addressing, monitoring, and documentation Participate in disaster-recovery and business-continuity planning and testing Documentation and Operational Support Maintain network diagrams, IP and VLAN records, equipment inventories, circuit information, device configurations, configuration backups, and related technical documentation Document network incidents, service requests, changes, and resolutions in the company's IT service-management system Collaborate with local IT personnel across locations to resolve issues, maintain consistent network standards, support multisite connectivity, and provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer Communicate outages, risks, maintenance activities, and project status to technical and nontechnical stakeholders Respond to critical network incidents outside normal business hours and travel to supported locations as needed Perform other duties as assigned
Responsibilities:
High School Diploma or GED required Associate degree in information technology, networking, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience supporting business or enterprise network environments Working knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networking, network monitoring, and structured cabling. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and connectivity issues Strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Pay:
$55,000.00 per year
