We're seeking an experienced Senior IS Systems Engineer - Network Infrastructure to help architect, optimize, and secure the enterprise networks that power our hospitals, clinics, data centers, cloud environments, and digital health platforms. Why This Role Matters As a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will serve as one of the organization's technical experts for enterprise connectivity and network architecture. You'll collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity teams, architects, vendors, and leadership to design and support highly available, secure, and scalable network solutions. You'll play a key role in: Supporting a large, geographically distributed healthcare network Driving network modernization initiatives Enhancing reliability, performance, and security across the enterprise Leading complex infrastructure projects Influencing architectural decisions that impact thousands of caregivers and patients What You'll DoLead Enterprise Network Engineering Design, implement, and support enterprise-class networking solutions Engineer secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend infrastructure improvements Develop standards, best practices, and operational procedures Support Critical Healthcare Operations Provide advanced troubleshooting and Level III support for complex network issues Lead incident response efforts for critical outages and performance issues Ensure high levels of network uptime, performance, and resiliency Partner with clinical and operational teams to support technology-driven patient care Modernize and Optimize Infrastructure Lead initiatives involving: Advanced routing and switching SD-WAN technologies Enterprise wireless networks Network security and firewall platforms Load balancing technologies Cloud connectivity and hybrid networking solutions Improve network monitoring, automation, performance, and capacity planning Drive Strategic Projects Serve as the technical lead on enterprise infrastructure projects Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across teams Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions Support the transition of new technologies into production environments What We're Looking For Required Experience 10 years of Information Technology experience OR Associate Degree + 8 years of IT experience OR Bachelor's Degree + 6 years of IT experience OR Master's Degree + 4 years of IT experience Preferred Technical Experience We're particularly interested in candidates with expertise in several of the following areas: Enterprise routing and switching SD-WAN design and implementation Network security and firewall administration Enterprise wireless technologies Network load balancing solutions Cloud networking and hybrid cloud connectivity Large-scale multi-site network environments High availability and disaster recovery networking Cisco networking platforms and technologies Infrastructure automation and network monitoring What Makes You Stand Out Proven experience supporting complex enterprise environments Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to lead technical projects from design through deployment Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to thrive in fast-paced, mission-critical environments Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and operational excellence Why Ochsner Health At Ochsner, you'll join a team that's transforming healthcare through innovation and technology.
