Microsoft Systems And Network Engineer
Mid-to-Senior Level | White Marsh, MarylandVienerX is seeking an experienced IT professional to join our Baltimore-area team. This is an on-site position based in the White Marsh area, with travel to nearby customer locations as needed.
The right candidate will have strong hands-on experience supporting Microsoft cloud environments while remaining comfortable working with traditional on-premises servers, networks, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, and related Microsoft technologies
- Managing Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and hybrid environments
- Troubleshooting and maintaining on-premises networks, including firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPNs, and VLANs
- Supporting desktops, laptops, servers, and business applications
- Completing Microsoft 365 and Azure migrations, deployments, and configuration projects
- Traveling to customer locations throughout the Baltimore area for troubleshooting, installations, and project work
- Communicating directly with customers, business managers, and other members of the VienerX technical team
- Documenting customer systems, configurations, work performed, and recommended improvements
Qualifications:
- Several years of professional IT infrastructure and support experience
- Strong Microsoft 365 and Azure skills
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server and on-premises Active Directory
- Practical experience supporting business networks and security equipment
- Ability to diagnose issues across cloud, server, network, and endpoint environments
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to nearby customer locationsExperience working for a managed service provider or supporting multiple business environments is helpful.
This is not an entry-level help desk position. We are looking for a capable, hands-on IT professional who can take ownership of technical issues, work effectively with customers, and contribute to both daily support and larger infrastructure projects.
