Network Operations Centre (NOC) Analyst

12 months plus extensions Job description The Network Operations Centre (NOC) Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, configuring and troubleshooting the managed suite of products deployed to Client Canada customers. The individuals chosen for these roles are to be senior technical resources with a wide breadth of technical experience and expertise. As such, they are empowered to make on the spot design and operational decisions. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor managed infrastructure and investigate related alerts
  • Promote and enforce best practices on solutions delivery to produce maximum uptime
  • Provide consultative and professional services to our customers
  • Work with vendors for product information and technical support
  • Engage other Client departments for solutions design and delivery
  • Provide timely response to all incidents, outages and requests to customers and service providers
  • Record all work and incident details using ticketing system Requirements
  • Experience with multi-vendor hosted environments
  • Strong understanding of IP and TCP/IP protocols
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and OSI model
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
  • Good knowledge of hosting marketplace
  • Solid understanding and production experience with virtualization technologies (VMware. Nutanix, HyperV etc)
  • Nice to have Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, Red Hat RHCT or other, Network+ or other network and OS related certifications or experience
  • Nice to have knowledge of SQL, Exchange
  • Nice to have knowledge of AI technologies and concepts (Nvidia DGX and HPC) Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 year network experience in a data center and managed IT services environment
  • College, University Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Other Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of Client Canada processes and systems an advantage
  • Capable of building an informal knowledge network to assist in their knowledge and development within Client Canada
  • Ability to work shifts in a 24/7/365 environment
