The focus of the IT Department is to serve our community by providing the technology foundation to support Christian worship and education. The Role The Support Specialist is the first line of support for our faculty and staff and serves in support of the mission and vision of our church and school. You are quick to respond to our clients, eagerly working to solve common issues correctly the first time with positive customer service. You are an excellent communicator in both speech and writing. You document your work in a timely manner and when necessary, escalate promptly. You are a leader in problem solving skills and leave no stone unturned until the issue is documented and resolved. Reporting to the campus IT Director, the role is full-time, hourly (non-exempt) and serves through the full calendar year. What Your Day Looks Like Review support requests in Spiceworks to receive your assignments throughout the day. Know when to escalate. Provide remote support to troubleshoot computer hardware, software, account access, password resets, VPN and network connectivity, and peripherals. Set up and maintain workstations, onboard new users, and set up Multifactor Authentication. The truth is that no two days are alike. Some days are slow and others are very hectic. Slow days provide for time to perform equipment checks and updates. On hectic days you will try to minimize what crosses over into the next day. What you Need A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to serve in a Christian school environment. 2+ years of hands-on IT support experience at a multi-client environment. Confident with Windows OS, Office 365, Adobe products, web apps, basic networking and troubleshooting. Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS. Able to work on-site every day in Matthews, NC. A client first attitude combined with Christian compassion towards those that need our assistance. Capable of maintaining the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in all matters.
