$125,000 - $145,000 per year Job Details - The Senior Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, commissioning, and supporting industrial automation systems for conveyor, robotic, and systems integration projects. This position owns controls engineering activities from the initial sales and design phases through installation, startup, commissioning, and ongoing customer support. Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Customers, you'll develop innovative automation solutions while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Design, develop, and program PLC-based automation systems Develop software for industrial control systems and machine automation Design electrical panels and electrical schematics Specify electrical components and wiring methods Commission conveyor systems, machinery, and automation equipment Provide customer training and post-installation technical support Manage assigned controls engineering subprojects Support Sales with technical presentations, application reviews, and project quotations Assist with conceptual system design and engineering solutions Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution Troubleshoot and optimize automation systems during startup and commissioning Support field installations and customer acceptance testing Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related Engineering discipline Minimum 5 years of controls engineering experience in industrial automation Strong Allen-Bradley PLC programming experience Experience designing electrical control systems to NEC, NFPA, UL, and applicable industry standards Experience withHMI/SCADA
development Experience with fieldbus communication technologies Knowledge of industrial electrical panel design and wiring Strong understanding of pneumatics, actuators, and valve systems Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills Strong communication and customer relationship skills Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities Fluent in English Preferred Experience with Siemens, Omron, or Beckhoff PLC platforms Experience with FactoryTalk Optix Experience programming industrial robots (Fanuc, Universal Robots, Omron) Servo motion control programming experience Experience using AutoDesk CAD and EPLAN Electric P8 C++ or Java programming experience Knowledge of barcode scanners, RFID systems, and industrial sensors Engineering License or Electrical License Bilingual language skills Travel Travel required approximately 25%-40% to support customer installations, commissioning, startup activities, and onsite technical support.A bit about us:
