Job Description
Robert Half is hiring! We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support and strengthen a multi-site networking environment in Greenville, South Carolina. This position plays a key role in building reliable connectivity across corporate, plant, remote, and cloud-based operations while maintaining strong security and performance standards. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in enterprise routing, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, cloud networking, and voice-related troubleshooting within a complex production-focused organization.
Responsibilities:
- Build, configure, and sustain enterprise network infrastructure spanning on-premises, wireless, cloud, and hybrid environments across multiple facilities.
- Oversee routing and connectivity services using Cisco networking technologies to ensure stable and efficient communication between sites and systems.
- Manage Meraki switching and wireless environments, including segmentation strategy, access point performance, VLAN configuration, and day-to-day issue resolution.
- Administer Palo Alto firewall platforms by maintaining security rules, remote access connectivity, VPN services, and threat protection capabilities.
- Plan and support SD-WAN connectivity linking offices, manufacturing locations, remote operations, and cloud platforms.
- Track network health through performance monitoring, capacity review, failover validation, traffic analysis, and resiliency planning.
- Support Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 networking by designing secure cloud connectivity, hybrid network architecture, and associated security controls.
- Diagnose and resolve advanced issues affecting voice and unified communications, including latency, packet loss, jitter, audio quality, and QoS behavior.
- Contribute to cybersecurity operations through network segmentation, access control, vulnerability remediation, security event review, and participation in incident recovery planning.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and lead infrastructure initiatives such as upgrades, vendor coordination, standards development, and new site deployments.
