Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network / System Engineer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is focused on creating a best-in-class, replicable software development environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise-scale Python programming to automate and streamline development operations, particularly with vSp, vRealize Suite, and NSX-T platform APIs. Working as part of a collaborative software engineering team, you will build and maintain tools for development, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Python and Ansible

Streamline development operations and processes, standardize environments, and maintain tools for development, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and operations

Build and maintain automated tools for deployment, monitoring, and day-to-day vSp, NSX-T, and vRealize Suite operations

Work with the development team to integrate automation solutions into a workflow

Participate in agile software development processes and contribute to project planning and estimation

Create and present design and development progress to peers and stakeholders

Continuously improve the automation process and tools to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability

Write unit tests and perform system integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the automation solution

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software development building enterprise-level software
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Expertise in Ansible, including experience with its architecture and writing custom modules
• Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, including writing deployment scripts
• Hands-on experience with Git and version control practices
• Good written and verbalmunication skills, with the ability to write documentation and present designs
• Hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite per week

Desired skills:

Experience with customizing vSp, vRealize Suite, NSX-T deployment and configuration automation

Production experience using vSp APIs, vRealize Suite APIs, and NSX-T APIs

Production experience with vSp, vRealize Suite, and NSX-T products

Understanding of ITIL processes

A solid understanding of network management principles

Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour
