Job Title:
Sr. Controls Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Sr. Controls Systems Engineer to join a growing automation team for an 18-month project in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with potential for further projects. This role involves leading controls design, PLC/HMI programming, and project execution in manufacturing and process automation environments. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in industrial automation, expertise in Rockwell Studio 5000/RSLogix programming, and experience with HMI development. Experience with Ignition SCADA is highly preferred. Responsibilities Lead controls design and implementation for automation projects. Develop and program PLC/HMI systems using Rockwell Studio 5000/RSLogix. Provide commissioning and startup support for automation systems. Execute customer-facing project tasks and maintain strong client relationships. Collaborate with engineering teams and field personnel to ensure project success. Essential Skills 4+ years of experience in industrial automation. Strong expertise in Rockwell Studio 5000/RSLogix programming. Hands-on experience with HMI development. Experience in PLC code and logic troubleshooting. Proficiency in integration, instrumentation, and troubleshooting. Capability to review design and documentation critically. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Ignition SCADA is highly preferred. Understanding of network systems. Experience with data centers. HVAC experience (air side, water, etc.). Bachelor's degree in a related field or significant relevant experience. Work Environment The position is located onsite in a data center and requires working Monday through Friday. The role offers opportunities for overtime, growth, and technical advancement. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saline, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
