IDR is seeking a Network Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in McKinney, TX. In this role, you will design, support, and optimize an enterprise network environment spanning data, voice, video, wired, and wireless infrastructure. You'll partner with cross-functional IT teams and vendors to troubleshoot performance, implement upgrades, and ensure reliable connectivity for a high-availability public-sector style environment. Position Overview for the
Network Engineer:
Design, administer, and support enterprise LAN/WAN, wireless, and voice network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and performance Gather business and technical requirements, evaluate options, and recommend scalable network solutions aligned to organizational needs Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network hardware and services, driving timely resolution of incidents and service requests Coordinate hardware/software/firmware upgrades and capacity improvements while maintaining strong operational stability Maintain accurate network documentation including diagrams, inventories, procedures, and ticketing system updates Requirements for the
Network Engineer:
5+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience supporting LAN/WAN and network infrastructure Active CCNA certification Strong experience with Cisco switching and Palo Alto firewalls in an enterprise environment Experience supporting enterprise wireless networks, including Meraki wireless access points (or comparable HP/Aruba experience) Hands-on fiber/network testing and troubleshooting experience, including use of OTDR testing equipment What's in it for you?
