We operate multiple business lines, including Beautification/Graffiti Abatement, Professional Painting Services, and Janitorial Services. At the heart of our mission is workforce development. We operate the Teresa McCoy Training Center, providing specialized training to prepare individuals for careers in the construction sector. We leverage a diverse funding model, including private grants and public programs, to provide paid work experience for individuals for durations ranging from 300 hours to one year. Our ecosystem also includes CRCD Construction, LLC and Sonny's Construction. Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and compassionate Director of Support Services to lead our comprehensive support infrastructure. Guided by our mission—changing lives one job at a time—this role is critical to our success. You will serve as the primary liaison between our business operations and our key funding partners, including the Office of Community Beautification (OCB), Redefine Alliance (formerly REDF), and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). You will ensure that our workforce development participants are connected to the vital support systems needed to overcome barriers and thrive in their careers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Services Strategy:
Design and oversee a robust support services framework that addresses the holistic needs of our participants, including housing, transportation, childcare, mental health, and legal aid.
Strategic Funding Partnerships:
Serve as the lead contact for our key funders, including OCB, Redefine Alliance, and HHS. Manage reporting, compliance, and relationship-building to ensure continued support for our programs.
Program Integration & Compliance:
Manage the complex intersection of city, state, and federal funding requirements. Ensure all support service delivery remains fully compliant with diverse grant and government funding mandates.
Data Management & Reporting:
Lead our data-driven approach to social impact. Utilize Salesforce to track participant outcomes, service delivery, and program efficacy. Maintain rigorous documentation to satisfy reporting requirements for our funders and the CRCD parent organization.
System Navigation:
Serve as an expert in navigating local and regional social service systems. Proactively build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and service providers to create a seamless, high-impact referral network.
Operational Leadership:
Manage the administrative and operational aspects of the Teresa McCoy Training Center's support services, ensuring that the "human side" of our business lines is as efficient and professional as our operational side.
Executive Collaboration:
Work closely with the Executive Team and the CEO to align support service initiatives with the broader strategic goals of CRCD Enterprises, our subsidiaries, and our parent organization, CRCD. Coordinate annual personnel performance evaluations and progressive disciplinary procedures. Uphold CRCD Enterprises Mission Statement, Core Values, and 5-year Strategic Plan
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in social work, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Experience:
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in social services, workforce development, or nonprofit/social enterprise management.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Demonstrated expertise in Cal JOBS and other state/local workforce development portals. Advanced proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for case management and reporting. Deep understanding of government-funded social service programs (e.g., WIOA, TANF, SNAP E&T).
Strategic Networking:
Proven ability to build and maintain high-level relationships with government officials, grantors (including OCB, Redefine Alliance, HHS), and community stakeholders.
Analytical Mindset:
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for the executive team to improve program retention and participant success.
Leadership:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and influence stakeholders across multiple business lines and subsidiaries Knowledge of database management and quality control process Demonstrated knowledge of community resources Reliable transportation: valid driver's license, and car insurance as required by law. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines. Proficient in data entry, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint; Salesforce a plus Bilingual in Spanish/English highly desirable Working knowledge in data tracking systems and tools. Strong organizational skills to manage large caseload, data, and reporting duties. Strong client-facing and teamwork skills Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving Critical thinking to incorporate new strategies and maintain ethical standards.
Reliable transportation:
valid driver's license and car insurance as required by law.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
On occasion, walk or drive to different local sites throughout the day. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and occasionally lift or carry up to 35 pounds.
