The successful candidate will lead instructional design projects, integrate emerging learning technologies, and collaborate with government stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop innovative training solutions that support the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) mission.

Secret Duties & Responsibilities Manage instructional systems design and development projects from analysis through implementation. Design, develop, evaluate, and maintain instructional systems and training programs that support Navy and Department of Defense requirements. Analyze existing training systems and recommend improvements to enhance learning effectiveness and operational readiness. Apply instructional systems design (ISD) methodologies to develop curriculum, learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment tools. Research, evaluate, and implement emerging educational technologies to improve training delivery and learner engagement. Develop and integrate technology-enabled learning solutions, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), browser-based applications, digital media, and other modern instructional technologies. Collaborate with government customers, project teams, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure training products meet customer requirements and quality standards. Support the development of web-based, instructor-led, blended, and distance learning solutions. Evaluate instructional materials and training systems to ensure compliance with Navy and DoD instructional standards. Prepare project documentation, technical reports, status briefings, and recommendations for stakeholders. Provide technical guidance on instructional technologies and training system implementation. Stay current on advancements in educational technology and recommend innovative approaches for future training solutions. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or another computer-related field. Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing educational design and development projects. Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience supporting the U.S. Navy, Department of Defense, or another federal defense agency. Demonstrated experience in the design, development, analysis, and implementation of instructional or training systems. Experience applying instructional systems design principles and methodologies to develop effective training solutions. Demonstrated experience with emerging educational technologies within the past three years, including one or more of the following: Learning Management Systems (LMS) Browser-based training applications Digital video technologies Video teleconferencing LAN, Internet, and Intranet-based learning environments Other technology-enabled learning platforms Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with government customers, project teams, and Subject Matter Experts. Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
Salary:
$70,000-75,000
