Do:

As a Principal Engineer Technical Services you will function as a Mission Module (MM) equipment Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Mission Package Design, Engineering, Production and Sustainment (DEP&S) Program. This position will serve as the Lead Engineer for the Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Mission Packages onboard LCS and ashore at waterfront facilities, both CONUS (continental U.S.) and OCONUS (outside the continental U.S.), and will be a mix of hands-on work as well as some supervisory work. The selected candidate will support the operations of the Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF) in planning and executing Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Mission Modules (MMs) lifecycle sustainment both ashore and aboard LCS Class Ships. Plans sequence of assembly, installation, repair and other maintenance functions relating to all assigned equipment. Plans detailed operations from blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, technical manuals and other engineering releases. Maintains progress reports, schedules, and other related records.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain close working relationships and liaise with other organizations within the Northrop Grumman Corporation and NAVSEA enterprises to develop and deliver comprehensive schedules and project plans/tasks. Manage and work with government, military and staff on milestones and assist with schedule development, preparing correspondence and reports of a technical nature and other duties as required supporting a collaborative team process. Ensure major projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across functional groups including training, operations, material, and quality. Research parts for technicians and customer representatives. Review and coordinates with logistics personnel to provide feedback to equipment Allowable Parts Lists (APLs). Provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of company technical products, programs and systems. Provide expertise for resolving technical problems, troubleshoot products and modify products to customer requirements. Provide Distance Support troubleshooting on MCM Mission Package System casualties and potential on board tech assist if distance support troubleshooting is exhausted. Provide recommendations for MM Engineering Change Proposals (ECP). Develop Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW) for repair and overhaul of MM equipment using manuals and engineering drawings. Understand and utilize Navy programs of record to include: MM Corrective Maintenance (CSMP) utilizing Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) Automated Work Number (AWN) Job development and management

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Must have experience in the sustainment of military systems and equipment, such as, MCM Unmanned Surface Vehicle (MCM USV), Airborne Mine Neutralization System (AMNS), Airborne Laser Mine Detection System (ALMDS), the

AN/AQS-20C

Mine Hunting Sonar or similar. Must be able to perform physically demanding work, to include working in tight, restricted access quarters onboard a US Navy warship, climbing 20 feet ladders and standing for long periods of time on a Navy ship or pier. Must be able to travel up to 25% both CONUS and

OCONUS. US

Citizenship and an active/current Secret Clearance are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Primary Level Salary Range:

$103,600.00 - $155,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
