Sr Wireless Connectivity Engineer (WiFi / Embedded Linux) South San Francisco, CA Full-TimeOn-Site$140,000 - $180,000 /yr Posted July 31, 2026 A company developing next-generation connected vehicle platforms is seeking a Senior WiFi Software Engineer to help build and improve the WiFi connectivity stack powering vehicle internet connectivity, infotainment, OTA updates, and wireless device integration. This role is ideal for an engineer with deep expertise in WiFi/802.11 protocols, networking, and modern C++ development, who enjoys solving complex wireless connectivity challenges in embedded systems environments. What You'll Do Develop and maintain software for vehicle WiFi connectivity and configuration Improve WiFi performance, roaming behavior, network selection, and access point management Design scalable software supporting multiple WiFi chipsets and hardware platforms Integrate WiFi drivers, firmware, and vendor SDKs Investigate and resolve real-world connectivity issues using packet captures, logs, and telemetry Work closely with platform, hardware, security, and product teams to deliver robust wireless solutions Drive software quality through testing and sound engineering practices What We're Looking For Strong experience with WiFi / IEEE 802.11 protocols Modern C++ development expertise Strong networking fundamentals including:
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
