Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Payroll and Systems Specialist to support accurate, compliant, and timely multi-state payroll operations while serving as the primary administrator for the UKG payroll system. This role is ideal for a proactive, self-directed payroll professional who brings strong technical expertise and takes ownership of payroll systems and processes. Position Summary The Payroll and Systems Specialist is responsible for full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing and for administering and maintaining the UKG payroll system. This individual will serve as the UKG subject matter expert, ensuring data integrity, system functionality, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Key Responsibilities Process full-cycle, multi-state payroll accurately and in accordance with established deadlines Administer and maintain the UKG payroll system, including configurations, updates, testing, and ongoing system support Act as the primary point of contact for UKG system administration and troubleshooting Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels Conduct payroll audits, reconciliations, and variance reviews to identify and resolve discrepancies Partner with HR, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure payroll data accuracy and system alignment Prepare and generate payroll reports, including standard and ad hoc reporting Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing, audits, and filings Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and system efficiency Required Qualifications 5 or more years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing Hands-on experience administering and maintaining the UKG payroll system Strong working knowledge of payroll compliance and regulations Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills Ability to manage priorities in a deadline-driven environment Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or a related field (nice to have) Experience supporting payroll system enhancements or optimizations Strong collaboration and communication skills Benefits Offers a comprehensive benefits package, which may include health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) plan; paid time off; paid holidays; and other benefits in accordance with applicable plans and eligibility requirements. Pay Details:
