Job Summary We are seeking an experienced IT Systems and Network Administrator to maintain, secure, and support its technology infrastructure. This hands-on role oversees network and systems operations, provides technical support across the organization, and works with leadership, employees, vendors, and help desk personnel.
Responsibilities:
Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot the organization's networks, servers, storage systems, computers, printers, iPads, and related technology. Install and configure routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, LANs, WANs, and virtual private networks (VPNs). Monitor network performance and security; resolve connectivity issues and protect systems from unauthorized access. Install, upgrade, configure, and support application software and hardware; administer user accounts and access permissions. Support Microsoft 365, Google applications, and other cloud-based platforms; perform regular security monitoring. Maintain accurate inventories of all hardware, vendors, contracts, leases, warranties, and related agreements. Work with leadership on a rolling three-year technology plan and future technology needs. Coordinate with appropriate personnel on security camera and fire alarm systems and ensure the public address system functions properly. Provide timely technical assistance to employees and supervise help desk personnel.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field and/or relevant certifications and professional experience. CompTIA, CCNA, Microsoft, Google, or similar credentials are preferred. Strong knowledge of network administration, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, and network security. Experience administering Windows environments; knowledge of Linux or macOS and cloud services is beneficial. Working knowledge of servers, desktop computers, printers, mobile devices, user accounts, and system permissions. Strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize urgent issues and collaborate with technical and nontechnical colleagues. This is a full-time, on-site position. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for business-related activities, system maintenance, upgrades, or urgent technology needs.
