Active Secret Position Summary ISPA Technology is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to join our team in Panama City, FL. This position will support the administration, maintenance, patching, and security of Windows and Linux systems in a DoD environment. The ideal candidate has foundational experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and basic scripting or automation and is eager to grow their technical skills. Key Responsibilities Support the administration and troubleshooting of Windows Server, RHEL 8/9, VMware virtual machines, and related infrastructure. Assist with operating system and application patching, security updates, and vulnerability remediation. Use or develop basic scripts with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible to support routine system administration tasks. Test patches and configuration changes in lab or staging environments before deployment. Assist with system hardening and vulnerability remediation using tools such as ACAS/Nessus, SCAP, STIG Viewer, and DoD STIGs. Support software and patch deployment using tools such as Red Hat Satellite andSCCM/MECM.
Maintain system documentation, procedures, and configuration records. Assist senior administrators with troubleshooting, system maintenance, and technical support activities. Required Qualifications Foundational experience or training with Windows Server and/or Linux systems. Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware. Basic knowledge of scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible. Basic understanding of system administration, patching, troubleshooting, and software installation.
