Computer Support Technician Des Moines Works Location:

Ankeny, IA Shift:

1st shift, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM with flexible start time; minimal

OT Work Environment:

50% desk / 50% shop floor

Role Summary:

Provide hands-on IT support in a manufacturing environment, supporting PCs, printers, scanners, network equipment, and other technology. Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and user issues and manage tickets through ServiceNow . Support IT projects, upgrades, technology rollouts, asset inventory, printer maintenance, and equipment disposal. Work across the Ankeny facility , with occasional travel to the Altoona warehouse and Ames lab (approximately 15-30 minutes one way). to move around the facility. Support opportunities involving automation, AI tools, and process improvements. Must-Haves 1+ year IT experience preferred ; recent graduates may be considered. Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting . Strong customer service and communication skills. Microsoft Office/business application experience. Basic cybersecurity knowledge. IT-related degree or equivalent experience. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs . Ability to occasionally drive to Altoona/Ames locations. Nice-to-Haves Microsoft Copilot / ChatGPT PowerShell, Python, VBA , or other scripting/automation Experience with ServiceNow Manufacturing or shop-floor IT support experience. #
