Job Description

Rolls Royce Motor Cars seeks a Controls System Specialist to develop, program, and optimize manufacturing control systems for ultra luxury vehicle production. You will design and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and motion control solutions, integrate robotics and automation equipment, and ensure system reliability, safety, and uptime. Partnering closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams, you'll analyze data, drive continuous improvement, support new model introductions, and document standards while upholding Rolls Royce's exacting quality, safety, and craftsmanship requirements. Responsibilities Design, program, and optimize PLC and HMI control systems for manufacturing lines Integrate robotics, motion control, and automation hardware into production processes Troubleshoot control system issues to minimize downtime and improve reliability Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance on new and existing systems Implement and maintain safety interlocks and compliance with relevant standards Analyze production and controls data to drive continuous improvement initiatives Support commissioning and ramp up of new models, equipment, and manufacturing cells Create and maintain documentation, standards, and backups for control systems Required Skills PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell)
HMI/SCADA
