Regional Service and Sales Support Technician

Job Description

The Role We're hiring a Service and Sales Support Technician to travel to customer plants across Indiana and the Midwest, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing vibratory feeder systems — while also acting as a technical resource for our sales team on new equipment quotes. No two weeks look the same: one week you're diagnosing a feed-rate issue on a production line, the next you're helping size up a new system for a prospective customer. What You'll Do Travel to customer sites to install, commission, service, and repair vibratory bowl feeders and track components Diagnose mechanical/process issues (feed-rate decline, jamming, part orientation, track wear) and recommend fixes Perform preventive maintenance and warranty visits; write clear service reports Support the sales team with pre-sale technical input, system configuration advice, and quote prep Serve as the on-site technical face of Moorfeed during demos, installs, and start-ups Maintain a company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory Provide remote/phone technical support between site visits What You'll Need Mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment (feeders, conveyors, packaging, or automation systems) Ability to read mechanical drawings and basic electrical schematics Strong communication skills with customers, sales staff, and engineers Willingness to travel 50-75%, including overnight and occasional air travel Valid driver's license, clean driving record High school diploma required; technical/vocational training or an associate degree in a mechanical/industrial field preferred Prior field service or technical sales support experience a plus Benefits Competitive pay, commensurate with experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Expected hours: 40.0 per week
