Jobs › Beverly, MA › Systems Administrator Robert Half Systems Administrator Beverly, MA Apply Description We are looking for a Systems Administrator to support daily technology operations and deliver responsive technical assistance to employees in Beverly, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position combines front-line user support with core systems administration, making it ideal for someone who can resolve issues efficiently while maintaining a reliable IT environment. The role will work across endpoint support, identity and access management, collaboration platforms, server administration, and vendor coordination to keep business systems running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver day-to-day Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for staff, resolving hardware, software, and access-related issues across the organization.
- Assess incoming support requests, identify root causes, prioritize incidents appropriately, and escalate complex problems when additional expertise is required.
- Provide technical assistance for a primarily Windows environment while also supporting Mac users and their related endpoint needs.
- Maintain user accounts, group memberships, and security permissions within Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Okta.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Office 365 applications, SharePoint, and OneDrive, to support communication and collaboration.
- Perform routine administration of Windows Server systems, including updates, software deployment, patching, and general system upkeep.
- Partner with external vendors and internal stakeholders to coordinate technology maintenance, upgrades, equipment orders, and service-related issues.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing devices, provisioning access, recovering equipment, and updating asset records.
- Manage IT inventory and procurement activities, including sourcing laptops, tracking hardware assets, and coordinating deliveries.
- Contribute to operational security efforts by assisting with audit readiness, documentation gathering, conference room technology support, and other ongoing IT tasks as needed. Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in systems administration or hands-on IT support with responsibility for both user support and infrastructure tasks.
- Strong troubleshooting ability in Tier 1 and Tier 2 support environments, with the judgment to prioritize and resolve issues independently.
- Practical experience administering Windows systems, Windows Server, and Microsoft Windows 10 in a business setting.
- Proven knowledge of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Azure, including user management and access control.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 services such as Office 365, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Ability to communicate clearly with employees, vendors, and internal teams while delivering a high level of customer service.
- Familiarity with IT purchasing, asset tracking, and coordination with third-party service providers.
- Preferred experience with Okta, Mac OS support, Dynamics 365, HRIS or other business applications, and cybersecurity or audit-related activities.
