About the Role Encartele is seeking a highly motivated Onsite Service Technician to support the operation of our Cidnet communication system at the Lancaster County Detention Center in Lincoln, NE. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the technology that keeps correctional facilities connected, secure, and efficient. The ideal candidate thrives on problem-solving, is hands-on with technology, and values consistency, reliability, and teamwork. You'll serve as the local point of contact for all Cidnet hardware and system-related needs, ensuring equipment is functioning optimally and that the facility staff have a dependable partner on site. Key Responsibilities Maintain and support the operation of the Cidnet system , including: Network hardware and servers Inmate phones and kiosks Tablets and handheld devices Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity or hardware issues as they arise. Perform routine maintenance and diagnostics to ensure maximum system uptime. Interface with Encartele's headquarters in La Vista, NE , for support coordination, reporting, and parts management. Travel as needed between Lincoln and La Vista to collect or deliver parts and equipment . Collaborate with facility staff and Encartele's support team to provide timely and professional service. Maintain detailed records of repairs, installations, and maintenance activities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in the service or technical support industry (IT, telecommunications, or electronics preferred). Law enforcement or correctional facility experience is a plus. Must be a motivated self-starter capable of managing time and priorities effectively. Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
