Eligible to work in the U.S.; must have maintained residence in the U.S. for the past 3 years Overview The successful candidate will provide System Administration support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Second Level Engineering. This position will work on the Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS) program. E-IDS is an enterprise-level platform to be deployed to operational control positions at more than 400 facilities across all air traffic control domains. E-IDS will enable National Airspace System (NAS- wide information exchange among all users and with other Enterprise Services and enhance collaborative maintenance among FAA Technical Operations personnel.

Preferred Ski ll s Work experience in patching, firmware and software asset management systems, hardening, version control (e.g., Git), server racking, cable management, and maintaining lab environments. Essential Daily Job Duties Design and administer enterprise thin client VDI infrastructure as second-level engineering support by: Organize the lifecycle of 10ZiG Zero Client (thin client) endpoints (or equivalent) and master images. Optimize VDI thin client configuration and VDI pool to ensure seamless user experiences. Support operational deployments and facility configurations, such as creating instructions for first-level support operators to deploy the thin clients. Optimize connection to Omnissa Horizon VDI infrastructure and virtual machine storage, ensuring performance tuning, system hardening, and seamless desktop delivery to endpoints. Automate tasks and configurations using scripting languages. Manage and maintain network and hardware infrastructure, such as server racking, cabling, and lab systems, such as 10ZiG Zero Clients, Raritan Dominion KVMs, and ZPE Console servers. Execute enterprise-wide patch management strategies for all endpoints and lab hardware Track hardware assets throughout their lifecycle.Pay:
$100,000.00- $160,000.
