A strong candidate will typically have: Several years of progressively responsible systems administration, infrastructure, or senior technical support experience Strong Windows Server and Active Directory experience Strong Microsoft 365 experience Solid networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, switching, and firewalls Experience with virtualization such as VMware or Hyper-V Experience troubleshooting complex technical problems independently Experience deploying or upgrading servers, networks, cloud services, or other infrastructure Strong written and verbal communication skills The ability to work directly with customers in a professional and helpful manner An interest in working in an MSP environment where priorities and customer environments vary from day to day Experience with Entra ID, Intune, Azure, Fortinet, ConnectWise, cybersecurity, backup platforms, PowerShell, or other Microsoft technologies is a plus. Professional certifications from Microsoft, Fortinet, CompTIA, Cisco, VMware, or similar vendors are also a plus, but certifications are not required.
