Electronics Technician / Sales & Service Specialist Hourly + Commission Pay Structure Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electronics Technician / Sales & Service Specialist to join our team. This role combines hands-on device repair with sales execution, customer service, and inventory management. Technicians are responsible not only for repairing devices but also for driving revenue through accessory sales, warranty programs, and service add-ons that improve the customer experience. This position offers hourly base pay plus commission incentives tied to individual performance metrics. Compensation Structure Base Pay (Hourly): $15 - $18 per hour (based on experience & certifications) Raise Review Every 2 months
Commission & Bonus Opportunities Include:
Accessory sales (cases, screen protectors, chargers, etc.) Warranty / Protection Plan enrollments Service add-ons: Device cleanings Data transfers Device setups Software services Non-repair revenue performance Store sales incentive programs (SPIFs / contests) Top performers have the ability to significantly increase weekly earnings through commission and bonus payouts. Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Repairs Repair phones, tablets, computers, gaming consoles, and other electronics Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and low-voltage issues Perform part replacements and system repairs Utilize diagnostic tools and hand equipment Maintain repair quality and turnaround standards Complete field service repairs when assigned (company vehicle provided) Sales & Revenue Generation Promote and sell phone accessories Educate customers on warranty/protection programs Recommend and perform additional services: Cleanings Data transfers Device setups Software support Identify upsell opportunities that improve device performance Meet or exceed individual sales metrics and attach-rate goals Customer Experience Provide technical support and answer customer questions Deliver excellent service from check-in to device pickup Clearly communicate repair timelines and service options Inventory & Store Operations Count and manage inventory and repair parts Maintain inventory accuracy in POS systems Restock accessories and supplies Assist with receiving and product organization Reduce shrink through proper inventory handling Performance Metrics Technicians are measured on: Accessory attach rate Warranty conversions Service add-on revenue Non-repair revenue performance Repair quality & turnaround time Customer reviews & satisfaction Inventory accuracy Performance directly impacts commission and advancement opportunities.
