¨ Ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network. Responsibilities ¨ Strategy & Planning o Perform network design and capacity planning. o Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery. ¨ Acquisition & Deployment o Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices. o Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement development efforts. ¨ Operational Management o Manage Servers, including email, print, file, ERP, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software. o Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems. o Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, and UPSs. o Ensure network connectivity of all workstations. o Administer all equipment, hardware and software upgrades. o Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights. o Perform system backups and recovery. o Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs. o Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports. o Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specification information. o Perform server security audits. o Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team. ¨ Adhering to company policies and procedures per the Quality Management System, Safety Manual and Employee Handbook. ¨ Any other duties as required and requested by the IT Manager. Job Qualifications Education ¨ Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or equivalent experience. Experience ¨ Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including AS400, Power7, IBM i 7.1 OS, Windows Server 2012, VMWare VSphere, and Windows 7. ¨ Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP. ¨ Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. ¨ Experience with Infor XA or Plexus preferred. Physical Demands ¨ Carry, finger, grasp, talk, hear, walk, see, sit, and stand. ¨ Use computer, telephone, and other machines standard to an office environment. ¨ Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings. ¨ Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
