Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IT Specialist/Systems Administrator to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring system stability, security, and scalability. Your expertise will drive the design, deployment, and maintenance of complex systems, supporting our organization's digital transformation initiatives. Responsibilities Manage and maintain diverse IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage solutions, network devices, and virtualization platforms such as VMware and ESXi. Design and implement robust system architectures utilizing best practices in system design, solution architecture, and system administration. Oversee database management and optimization for SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and NoSQL databases to ensure high availability and performance. Configure and monitor network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, load balancing solutions, and information security protocols to safeguard organizational data. Develop automation scripts using Bash (Unix shell), Python, PowerShell, or Shell Scripting to streamline operations within a DevOps environment supporting CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins and Git. Implement container orchestration with Kubernetes for microservices deployment while managing cloud services on AWS and Azure platforms. Ensure compliance with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes by participating in Agile methodologies to deliver reliable software solutions efficiently. Maintain system health through proactive monitoring of operating systems such as Windows and Linux; perform regular updates and patch management. Support API integrations (RESTful APIs), solution architecture planning, and system design to enhance application interoperability across platforms. Conduct system troubleshooting and provide technical support for complex issues involving computer networking, virtualization, or information security threats. Skills Extensive experience with RAID controllers for storage management and load balancing techniques to optimize system performance. Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices frameworks, and RESTful API development. Proficiency in Pegasystems platform for business process management solutions is a plus. Deep knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server and various Linux distributions; familiarity with VMware ESXi environments. Hands-on experience with cloud computing services such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Azure cloud platforms. Expertise in database systems like SQL Server (Microsoft SQL Server), MySQL, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL, Oracle; skilled in T-SQL scripting. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, Python; adept at automating tasks within a DevOps framework. Knowledge of computer networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, VPNs; experience configuring firewalls for security enforcement. Ability to design scalable system architectures using load balancing strategies; experience with Kubernetes orchestration for containerized applications. Strong understanding of information security principles including firewall configuration, VPN setup, encryption practices and cybersecurity best practices. Experience working within Agile development teams; familiar with SDLC processes from planning through deployment.
