Job Description

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the ongoing administration, maintenance, and support of the organization's servers, applications, email systems, and cloud environments. This position performs system updates and security patching, supports backup and disaster recovery processes, troubleshoots technical issues, and helps maintain system security and reliability. The Systems Administrator works closely with the IT team to implement technology improvements and ensure infrastructure effectively supports business operations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and 1-2 years of IT experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Experience with server and email administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, enterprise email platforms such as Exchange and Microsoft 365, and virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V. Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, data protection, and email archiving solutions. Knowledge of endpoint security solutions, email security best practices, and cybersecurity fundamentals. Familiarity with automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell for server and email administration. Certifications such as
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, ITIL, or equivalent are preferred. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure. Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in varying environments, travel as required, and work varied schedules. Ability to obtain and maintain required gaming licensure and a valid driver's license. Administer, monitor, and maintain servers, applications, enterprise email systems, and cloud environments. Perform software installations, system updates, and security patching for servers and supporting platforms. Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, data retention, and archiving solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, server, email, and other infrastructure-related issues. Configure and manage enterprise email accounts, policies, spam filtering, and related settings. Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency. Follow cybersecurity best practices and assist with monitoring and addressing potential security risks. Support endpoint security, email security, and data protection initiatives. Use scripting and automation tools to improve routine server and email administration processes. Collaborate with IT team members to implement new technologies and improve technical workflows. Maintain accurate IT documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures. Travel as needed, work varied shifts including weekends and holidays, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
