Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic Engineer supported by a dedicated small support team to drive our technical infrastructure forward. Duties Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and hardware components to ensure optimal performance and security. Provide hands-on technical support for desktop computers, mobile devices, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and peripherals. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues related to computers, printers, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and other equipment swiftly to minimize downtime. Manage help desk systems and customer support tickets efficiently using tools like Jira or BMC Remedy to track issues from initiation to resolution. Support network troubleshooting efforts involving TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, LAN/WAN connectivity, and firewall management such as Meraki or other security appliances. Administer Active Directory management tasks including user account creation, GPO (Group Policy Object) configuration, and Active Directory maintenance. Assist in software troubleshooting for applications across Windows and macOS platforms while ensuring compatibility with IT infrastructure standards. Collaborate with team members on analysis of system logs and performance metrics to identify potential improvements or security vulnerabilities. Contribute to IT projects involving Microsoft Windows Server environments, Linux servers, SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), and other enterprise tools. Communicate effectively with users at all levels by providing clear guidance on technical issues while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Requirements Proven experience supporting Windows (including Windows Server) and macOS operating systems in a professional environment. Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts such as
TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN
configurations, VPNs, firewalls (e.g., Meraki), and TCP troubleshooting techniques. Hands-on expertise with help desk systems like Jira or BMC Remedy for ticket management and issue tracking. Ability to troubleshoot hardware components including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, routers, switches, and other peripherals. Familiarity with Active Directory management including user accounts, GPOs, and domain services; experience with Microsoft Office suite is essential. Experience supporting IT infrastructure involving Microsoft Windows Server environments and Linux servers is highly desirable. Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex technical problems quickly and accurately. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. Ability to work collaboratively within a small support team while managing multiple priorities efficiently. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or Cisco CCNA are a plus but not mandatory.
