The Healthcare Foodservice Consultant (Business Solution Specialist) is responsible for supporting increased sales/case penetration and improved profitability in key integrated delivery network (IDN) and healthcare accounts, developing new customer relationships, new sales growth, and respond to local/national requests for business/menu solutions. Through the introduction and implementation of US Foods programs and future solutions-based services, strengthen US Foods relationship with the customer at the local level, support the Senior Business Solutions Specialist activities at the integrated delivery network (IDN) level, and group purchasing organization (GPO) level. Focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness; provide expertise in cost reduction methodologies, creative approaches to revenue enhancement, and support the Sr. Business Specialist with IDN strategy development for the customer.- The work for the Healthcare Foodservice Consultant (Business Solutions Specialist) position is completely remote in Illinois, Wisconsin or Minnesota. This position may require 50-75% travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- + Support US Foods goals to achieve new sales growth, penetrate existing business, strengthen and protect customer relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:
- + High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Related Experience
- :•+ A minimum of five years' work experience in foodservice healthcare industry required.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- :•+ Proficient in the area of financial analysis; + Ability to utilize strategic thinking and develop action plans to support the strategy; + Must have analytical and critical thinking ability; + Strong interpersonal, organizational, facilitation and communication skills are required; + Must be able to demonstrate previous successful sales or cost management results; + Must be able to develop and maintain positive relationships at all levels and act as a consensus builder within a team selling structure.
- Technical skills:
- + Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite (Power Point, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and Word), USF Reporting tools (internal candidates only) and some experience with Access. + Should be able to demonstrate literacy in software and hardware applications.
Travel:
- + Must be able to travel 50%-75% in distribution centers footprint.
