This is primarily a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting a variety of client environments, and building strong client relationships through professional communication and on-site presence. The role combines remote support, on-site troubleshooting, project work, and regular client visits.
Responsibilities:
Provide remote and on-site IT support for desktops, laptops, servers, Microsoft 365, printers, networking, and related business systems. Diagnose and resolve issues involving hardware, software, connectivity, backups, endpoint security, and user support. Install, configure, and support workstations, servers, Fortinet firewalls, switches, wireless systems, backup solutions, and other IT infrastructure. Complete project work such as workstation rollouts, hardware refreshes, migrations, and general network improvements. Document all work clearly in the PSA or ticketing platform. Communicate professionally with business owners, office managers, and end users regarding issues, progress, and next steps. Conduct on-site client visits for troubleshooting, scheduled support, and relationship building. Help identify recurring issues and opportunities for improvement within client environments. Adapt priorities throughout the day based on urgency and business impact - client-down situations take immediate priority. Participate in occasional after-hours emergency support when needed.
Qualifications :
3+ years of hands-on IT support experience. Experience troubleshooting Windows environments, Microsoft 365, hardware, and networking issues. Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration. Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, switches, and wireless networking. Experience using PSA/ticketing systems and remote monitoring or management tools. Strong communication and client service skills. Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage changing priorities. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local client visits. Must be located in or willing to relocate to the Greater Nashville / Williamson County area. Preferred Qualifications MSP experience. Experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls. Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or similar. Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions. Experience with endpoint security and patch management.
