Job Description
Job Roles and ResponsibilitiesServe as a senior technical authority and escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to IT technicians and support personnel.
Lead root cause analysis for major incidents, service interruptions, and recurring infrastructure problems.
Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, virtual private networks, and wireless systems.
Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and security and proactively resolve potential issues.
Administer firewalls, security appliances, intrusion prevention systems, and network access controls.
Support vulnerability management, infrastructure security, patching, incident response, and cybersecurity investigations.
Administer VMware virtualization environments, including hosts, clusters, storage, and virtual machines.
Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise server infrastructure.
Maintain data center infrastructure and ensure business critical systems remain secure, stable, and highly available.
Manage enterprise storage arrays, backup technologies, and recovery solutions.
Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
Implement and maintain infrastructure monitoring and alerting solutions.
Maintain infrastructure software, operating systems, firmware, security updates, and management platforms.
Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, technical documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.
Lead infrastructure implementation, migration, upgrade, technology refresh, and modernization projects.
Develop technical requirements, implementation strategies, project plans, and risk mitigation plans.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve infrastructure reliability, security, scalability, and efficiency.
Collaborate with IT leadership, internal stakeholders, vendors, and consultants on infrastructure initiatives.
Participate in the rotating on call schedule and respond to infrastructure outages, cybersecurity incidents, and other critical operational issues.
Lead technical response and recovery efforts during major infrastructure incidents.
Qualifications and CertificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
Minimum 3 years of experience serving as a senior technical resource, lead engineer, or similar technical leadership position.
Experience supporting multi site enterprise networks and business critical infrastructure.
Proven experience leading technical projects and mentoring IT professionals.
Strong experience with enterprise routing and switching.
Strong firewall administration and network security experience.
Experience with wireless network design and management.
Strong VMware vSphere and virtualization experience.
Strong Windows Server administration experience.
Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.
Experience with enterprise storage arrays and technologies.
Experience with enterprise backup and recovery solutions.
Experience supporting data center operations.
Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity practices.
Experience with infrastructure monitoring and alerting platforms.
Knowledge of vulnerability management and cybersecurity best practices.
Experience with cloud or hybrid infrastructure technologies.
Strong network performance analysis and advanced troubleshooting skills.
Strong technical leadership, problem solving, communication, project management, and incident management capabilities.

Additional InformationThis is an onsite position. Remote work is not available.
Participation in a rotating 24 hour on call schedule is required, currently approximately once every five weeks.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for maintenance, upgrades, and critical incident response.
The position may require work within data center environments and the ability to lift infrastructure equipment when necessary.
Success in this position will be measured by infrastructure uptime, system reliability, cybersecurity posture, successful project delivery, technical leadership, and continuous improvement of enterprise infrastructure operations.
