Hiring Agency Cabinet for Health & Family Services | Department for Public Health Location 275 East Main Street Frankfort, KY 40621 USA The agency may authorize the selected candidate to telecommute. The agency may terminate or modify the telecommuting arrangement at any time. Description The Department for Public Health (DPH), Division of Administration and Financial Management (AFM), is seeking a Systems Administrator for our Local Health Operations (LHO) branch. This position will serve as the lead medical coding specialist. It will also interact with all 120 counties in the state of Kentucky and build relationships with those that work in the Local Health Departments (LHDs) in the state. This position will perform medical coding audits, keep all coding information in the system up to date and provide coding training to all health departments. You will also assist with User Meetings, system security requests and process service fee overrides. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Serve as Network Systems Security Liaison. Serve as LHO Branch Service Desk Coordinator. LHD Network Systems Security Resets/Unlocks. Answer Help Desk Phone Calls. Assist with Onsite Coding Compliance Reviews. Update DPH Administrative Reference (AR). Update Distribution Lists. Perform Other Duties as Assigned. Skills and Expectations include but are not limited to the following: Good customer service skills. Experience in training. Proficient in Microsoft products, including Teams. Interpret statutes and regulations as it pertains to the Department and LHD.
