Hybrid Technical Service Engineer Position Summary The Technical Service Engineer (TSE) plays a critical role in supporting long-term customer success by ensuring automation systems operate reliably and efficiently. This position provides responsive technical support, resolves complex field issues, and builds strong customer relationships through dependable service and engineering expertise. TSEs serve as a key technical resource for customers, providing support through phone, email, remote diagnostics, and onsite troubleshooting. With direct visibility into system performance and customer needs, the TSE is often the first to identify potential risks, recurring challenges, and opportunities for improvement. The Technical Service Engineer works closely with Sales, Application Engineering, and other regional teams to ensure customers receive timely and effective technical support. In addition to resolving immediate issues, the TSE contributes to continuous improvement by documenting recurring problems, sharing field-proven solutions, and helping internal teams better anticipate customer needs. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary technical support contact for customers within the assigned region. Proactively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues through onsite support, hands-on diagnostics, and remote assistance. Diagnose issues involving automation controls, PLCs, motion systems, robotics, networking, HMI platforms, and related technologies. Partner with Sales, Application Engineering, and other field team members to support regional customer strategies and business objectives. Advise customers on equipment maintenance, system optimization, troubleshooting best practices, and effective product utilization. Provide technical guidance and support through phone, email, remote access, and in-person customer visits. Identify recurring technical issues and document solutions to improve internal support resources and knowledge sharing. Communicate customer feedback and field observations to appropriate internal teams. Assist with customer training, system onboarding, and technical demonstrations as needed. Maintain a high level of professionalism and responsiveness while representing the organization in customer environments. Travel to customer facilities as required to support installations, troubleshooting, training, and ongoing technical needs.What Makes This Role Unique Advanced Technology:

Required Skills & Qualifications Strong customer-facing communication skills and sound technical judgment. Collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related technical field from a four-year college or technical school; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Practical programming experience with technologies such asIEC 61131-3, C
#, C++, JavaScript, or TypeScript . Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts preferred. Experience designing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting industrial automation systems. Familiarity with browser-based HMI platforms such as TwinCAT HMI or similar technologies. Basic configuration and troubleshooting experience with Unix-based operating systems.Working knowledge of:
PLC programming and controls Motion control systems Robotics Distributed I/O Industrial networking Fieldbus systems, including EtherCAT HMI technologies Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and industrial networking concepts. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to remain composed and effective when addressing time-sensitive customer issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to customers and internal teams. Ability and willingness to work independently in customer environments. Work Location This position follows a hybrid work model and is based in the Atlanta, GA area . The Technical Service Engineer will divide time between customer site visits, remote technical support, and collaboration with the office and regional team. Office attendance will be flexible based on business needs, customer requirements, and travel schedules. Travel Requirements This position requires a willingness to travel on short notice and is expected to involve 50%+ travel .Travel may include:
