As a Site Lead and Systems Administrator Senior, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a dedicated professional joining our team to maintain and support Windows servers, ensuring their security, availability, and performance, while also leading local IT operations and a small team at a designated site. This role involves regular patching, troubleshooting, collaborating with other IT teams to implement infrastructure solutions, and serving as the primary IT point of contact for the site, all while aligning with command requirements.
HOW A SITE LEAD AND SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Site Leadership & Coordination:
Serve as the primary IT point of contact and site lead, overseeing local IT operations and ensuring seamless service delivery for the designated site. Lead and mentor a small team of IT professionals at the site, assigning tasks, fostering skill development, and promoting a collaborative and high-performing environment. Act as the key liaison between local site management, end-users, and central IT teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions and communicating IT initiatives effectively. Manage local IT assets, inventory, and resources, ensuring optimal utilization and adherence to organizational standards and budget.
Systems Administration & Support:
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within Windows Server 2019/2022 Operating Systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of critical services. Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patching, remediation, and system upgrades, to maintain system integrity, security posture, and operational efficiency. Manage certificate lifecycle management processes for web servers and secure communication channels, ensuring continuous operational security and compliance. Build, deploy, and maintain server applications and proprietary software, providing critical support for site-specific operations and user needs.
Collaboration & Project Management:
Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to design, implement, and optimize infrastructure solutions that meet site-specific and broader organizational requirements. Lead and manage site-specific IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to scope, and alignment with strategic objectives. Interface with third-party vendors for troubleshooting, support, and procurement of IT services and equipment, ensuring effective vendor management.
Security & Compliance:
Ensure strict compliance with all security policies, regulations, and best practices at the site level, conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions as needed. Maintain comprehensive system documentation and prepare detailed process guides for site-specific configurations, procedures, and operational workflows.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
Track, prioritize, and escalate site-specific IT problems to appropriate levels, driving efficient resolution and minimizing operational impact. Produce management reports and informational packets on site IT health, project status, operational metrics, and team performance to support continuous process improvements and informed decision-making.

Certification Required Experience:
min 3+ years of related experience. Prefer 5 years of experience.
Security Clearance Level:
TS/SCI Required Skills and Abilities:
Experience in systems administration and infrastructure management. Understanding of Certificate Lifecycle Management. Ability to prepare comprehensive documentation for systems administration tasks.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with USCENTCOM and familiarity with its mission. Experience working in cross-functional IT teams and projects. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation tasks.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
