Job Description
We are looking for a Systems Administrator to support and enhance a growing hybrid infrastructure environment in Beaumont, Texas. This Long-term Contract position blends hands-on systems administration with project-based engineering work, making it ideal for someone who can manage daily operations while contributing to technical planning. The role supports a multi-site environment with regular on-site collaboration and offers the opportunity to work across server, network, and security initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day administration of Windows-based server environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and operational stability.
- Support virtualized infrastructure across VMware clusters and assist with ongoing improvements to datacenter systems.
- Contribute to Azure infrastructure expansion by helping plan, deploy, and maintain cloud-based resources and services.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define technical scope, recommend practical solutions, and assist with infrastructure architecture decisions.
- Oversee network administration activities in a Meraki environment while supporting the rollout of cloud-managed switching platforms.
- Participate in infrastructure modernization efforts, including server, network, and security-related projects across multiple locations.
- Help execute technology lifecycle initiatives such as hardware refreshes, platform upgrades, and the planned transition away from VMware.
- Provide on-site and cross-site support in a hybrid work setting, including routine travel between facilities as needed.
