Chelsea, MA This is a mid-level position. The SA shall have relevant work experience in Systems/Equipment installation, administration, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and validation of installation of components: Components include, but are not limited to:
  • The ability to create, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot virtual machines, preferably using Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Know how to manage, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Failover Clusters.
  • Know how to support a variety of mass storage arrays and RAID configurations.
  • Know how to use Microsoft PowerShell to automate tedious, repetitive, and/or error prone tasks related to installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and management of IT systems and services.
  • Know how to install a server into a rack, load and configure a Windows Operating System on it.
  • Know how to Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) boot a server and load an image on to it with Windows Deployment Server.
  • Know how to replace/install RAM, hard drives, network cards, and storage cards in a computer/server.
  • Know how to troubleshoot basic network troubleshooting, such as IP conflicts, DNS resolution problems, being able to determine the status of a switch port.
  • Hyper-V Manager
  • Failover Cluster Manager
  • Windows Deployment Services
  • Configure and monitor SQL servers utilizing SQL Server Management Tools.
  • Recognizes failed hardware such as hard drives, power supplies, components, or entire servers.
  • Follows detailed instructions to identify, troubleshoot, and replace faulty equipment.
