We are seeking a proactive, organized, and customer-focusedIT Technician who will create value for our clients while continuing to grow Harper Technologies' reputation as a leader in Concierge Culture IT Service. Position Summary The ideal candidate is technically skilled, customer-focused, highly organized, and detail-oriented. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, develop practical and repeatable solutions, and clearly document those solutions for future use. Documentation, organization, and attention to detail are key components of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network issues across Windows and Macintosh environments.
- Install, configure, repair, and maintain computer hardware and software, including desktop PCs, laptops, servers, wireless access points, switches, and, when needed, firewalls.
- Prepare and configure PCs, laptops, servers, switches, and other equipment prior to client delivery or installation.
- Perform onsite installations, system deployments, and field repairs for new and existing client systems.
- Assist Tier II and Systems Administration teams with escalated technical issues to support an efficient transition and resolution.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding technical issues, troubleshooting processes, resolution expectations, and preventative recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in ticket notes, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and processes that can be replicated when appropriate.
- Create and update client asset inventories when equipment is installed, replaced, or removed.
- Recommend network, hardware, and technology upgrades or updates based on client needs.
- Properly dispose of outdated, damaged, or unrepairable equipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate ticket and work order records for client activities and services. Required Skills and Qualifications
- Professional experience working in an IT role within a corporate or business environment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network issues efficiently.
- Experience with multiple operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Windows Server.
- Excellent customer service skills, a strong sense of initiative, and a commitment to finding solutions.
- Critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to approach unfamiliar or complex technical issues creatively.
- Strong verbal, written communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA are a plus and will receive strong consideration.
Pay:
