Job Description

Job description Kerr Surveillance specializes in all things IT for restaurants. In addition to surveillance cameras, we also install and service POS systems, commercial audio, access control, etc. We are looking to expand our growing team with an additional technician. This job does require travel, primarily in
FL, GA, AL, MS, TN.
We also work in Jacksonville, and you will always be home on the weekends.
Installation Technician Job description:
Travel to/from job sites. Run cabling from head end to devices as specified. Terminate cables with appropriate connectors/connections. Test and verify cabling. Read blueprints to determine proper layout of equipment. Drill holes into various surfaces as needed. Install & aim cameras, install speakers, POS equipment, VOIP phones, and head end equipment such as racks, switches, NVR's, PC's, amplifiers, etc. Connect and configure components as required. Work with office assistance in remote configuration via laptop. Fill out and turn in weekly tool/parts reports. Fill out and turn in weekly expense reports. Anything else as directed by management.
Required skills:
Must have good personal appearance, good hygiene habits. Must be personable over the phone, with excellent communication skills. Must possess excellent spelling abilities, good grammar. Must be able to type at least 40 wpm. Must be organized, capable or working independently or in a team as needed.
Recommended skills:
A+ certification or equivalent At least a moderate understanding of basic networking. Familiarity with remote access programs, TeamViewer, AnyDesk, etc. Be able to explain subnetting. Be able to identify a gateway. Basic understanding of DNS. MS Office Suite, including SharePoint. Basic CRM skills are a plus.
Compensation:
Hourly $15-$18/hr. DOE, quarterly performance reviews and quarterly performance bonuses.
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
