Service Desk Technician Location:
Greensboro, NC (hybrid, onsite 4 days per week)
Contract:
W2 only, 6 month contract to hire
Pay:
$30-$35/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match The Service Desk Technician will be responsible for the monitoring, management, and maintenance of computer systems for multiple clients. This role involves administration of Windows servers, network management, customer support, and on-site support at client locations. Candidates with enterprise-level technology background and experience in PowerShell scripting and Windows environment are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Administration of Windows servers in SMB environments PowerShell scripting Server deployments and migrations Group Policy creation and maintenance Make recommendations for hardware and software upgrades Configuration and deployment of SMB class routers, switches, and access points Configuration and troubleshooting of site-to-site VPN connections Monitoring and maintenance of network attached devices such as NAS devices, printers, and camera systems Provide remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and other computer-related devices Provide on-site support at client locations Required Skills Onsite support experience 4 days a week Enterprise level technology background Excitement to build IT foundation from scratch PowerShell scripting skills familiarity Experience with Windows 10-11 Knowledge of network management and customer support Ability to make hardware and software upgrade recommendations Experience with server management and migrations Familiarity with SMB environments and network devices Strong troubleshooting skills for computer systems and network devices Preferred Skills Experience with monitoring and maintenance of network devices such as NAS, printers, and cameras Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of VPN connections Knowledge of enterprise-level network and security practices Ability to work both remotely and on-site effectively Why Should I Apply?
