Minot, ND We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Network Technician to join our IT support team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our organization's network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance across all systems. Your expertise will help keep our IT environment secure, reliable, and efficient, supporting the company's operational excellence. Duties Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN gateways to ensure robust connectivity. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), wireless access points, and internet connectivity. Support system administration tasks such as managing Active Directory accounts, user permissions, and group policies to uphold security standards. Provide technical support for hardware maintenance, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and software troubleshooting to resolve user issues swiftly. Assist with the setup and ongoing management of IT infrastructure components using tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, or similar ticketing systems. Conduct regular security checks including firewall configurations and VPN access controls to safeguard organizational data. Collaborate with end-users via help desk platforms to deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication on technical solutions. Skills Proven experience in technical support and help desk environments with strong problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Windows Server administration, Active Directory management, and Windows operating systems. Knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN setup, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and network security protocols. Familiarity with computer hardware maintenance including desktops, servers, switches, routers, and peripherals. Strong understanding of operating systems including macOS and Linux environments. Ability to troubleshoot software issues related to Microsoft Office applications and other common enterprise tools. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
