This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting, supporting end users, and gaining hands-on experience across networking, telecommunications, desktop support, and infrastructure operations. You'll work alongside a collaborative IT team, helping maintain the organization's network, resolve technical issues, and ensure reliable connectivity for students, faculty, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network hardware and software Support LAN/WAN environments, telecommunications systems, desktop hardware, and peripheral devices Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, remote access, and communication issues Monitor network performance and respond to outages or service interruptions Provide Tier II technical support for networking, telecommunications, and desktop-related incidents Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests Assist with software deployments, hardware upgrades, equipment installations, and desktop migrations Support backup processes and disaster recovery efforts Track and document technical issues through the help desk ticketing system Train and assist end users with hardware and software-related questions Partner with vendors and internal IT teams on infrastructure projects and system improvements Maintain accurate technical documentation and inventory records
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent professional experience 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise networking, desktop support, telecommunications, or infrastructure environments
Working Knowledge of:
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Routing & Switching, and LAN/WAN technologies Experience troubleshooting network connectivity and telecommunications issues Familiarity with Active Directory administration and user account management Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Experience documenting support activities and maintaining technical inventories
