Job Description
About the Role In this role, you will provide support for all technologies within a Distribution Center or corporate environment. You will identify, troubleshoot, and remediate issues that arise, take ownership of all IT building-related incidents and monitor system activity to ensure the availability and performance of all Kohl's IT business services. What You'll Do Resolve first-level service calls in accordance with procedural and security standards and log and track issues using an automated Service Management System Assist in the investigation of issues and deliver appropriate remedy and response Follow established operational processes and procedures and use the tools available to respond to identified performance issues Maintain knowledge of production system resolution procedures and ensure readiness to execute by reviewing knowledge base entries Monitor system activity and inform the team of any perceived trends in received calls Create and monitor vendor service calls Develop an understanding and knowledge of Kohl's operating environments, policies and procedures Perform routine and preventative maintenance and provide support in the development and maintenance of operational procedures , set up and test new hardware, peripherals and software and administer asset inventory management Additional tasks may be assigned What Skills You Have Required Excellent problem-solving skills Basic technical understanding of the various hardware, software and networking systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred Two-year degree in Computer Science or related field Previous IS experience. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; and establishing personal networks
