Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) / Senior Scrum Master for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC and Irving, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Senior Scrum Master to support a critical Balance Sheet product area in an enterprise environment. This role serves at the product-area level, providing agile leadership across a minimum of 3-4 delivery teams. The RTE will enable predictable, efficient delivery by coordinating release planning, removing cross-team impediments, and driving scaling strategies while working closely with product, technology, and business partners.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the Release Train Engineer / Lead Scrum Master for a product area supporting multiple agile teams Facilitate team-level Scrum execution while operating at the product area level with product partners Enable delivery planning, execution, and dependency management across multiple teams Remove systemic and cross-team impediments impacting delivery flow Support resource and capacity adjustments when delivery needs shift Lead and influence agile scaling and transformation efforts Apply deep knowledge of agile principles, Scrum, and scaling strategies to improve delivery efficiency Support modernization initiatives, including cloud migration to Azure Coordinate enterprise release delivery activities and support change and release management processes Coach Scrum Masters, teams, and leaders toward high-performing agile behaviors Communicate effectively across technical, product, and business stakeholders Drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvementRequirements:
5+ years of Scrum or Agile experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer, Lead Scrum Master, or Senior Scrum Master Experience supporting multiple agile teams simultaneously (minimum of 3 teams) Strong background in agile transformation and scaling Experience operating in a large, enterprise environment Strong knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum practices Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills Ability to operate beyond tooling and understand delivery outcomes and business context Proactive, delivery-focused, and experienced in coaching teams Experience with Jira, ServiceNow (Change Requests), Confluence, and SharePoint Desired skills: Experience in financial services, especially treasury or balance sheet-related domains Experience with cloud transformation initiatives Exposure to or understanding of evolving AI delivery lifecycles Pay range: $58.75 - $66.75 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
