Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery across Fabric initiatives and the defined Observability portfolio for Data Warehouse and Automation / AI efforts. The ideal candidate combines disciplined project management, hands-on Scrum facilitation, strong Jira administration, and the ability to coordinate global, cross-functional engineering and data teams while maintaining clear executive visibility. The Project Manager / Scrum Master in this role will establish delivery structure, facilitate Agile ceremonies, maintain transparent plans and backlogs, and drive work from intake through release and operational handoff. The role will communicate roadmaps, progress, risks, dependencies, mitigation plans, decisions, and business impacts to senior management and distributed delivery teams.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Lead delivery for Service Fabric projects and for Observability initiatives specifically related to Data Warehouse and Automation / AI. Other observability platform or monitoring operations are outside this role unless formally assigned.
  • Act as Scrum Master for one or more cross-functional teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and dependency reviews.
  • Partner with Product Owners and technical leads to translating objectives into prioritized epics, features, stories, acceptance criteria, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Create and maintain integrated project plans, sprint schedules, release roadmaps, RAID logs, dependency maps, decision logs, and executive status reporting.
  • Administer Jira projects, boards, workflows, filters, dashboards, reports, releases, and cross-project views to provide accurate team-level and program-level visibility.
  • Monitor sprint health, delivery predictability, backlog readiness, impediments, scope changes, and release risks; escalate blockers with clear ownership and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate delivery across Network Engineering, Service Fabric, data engineering, architecture, automation, AI, platform, security, operations, and other required stakeholders.
  • Ensure Data Warehouse efforts have defined source-data dependencies, ownership, data quality expectations, integration milestones, validation criteria, and operational handoff requirements.
  • Ensure Automation / AI efforts have clear use cases, business outcomes, data and system dependencies, testing and acceptance criteria, governance checkpoints, release readiness, and adoption plans.
  • Facilitate technical and business decisions, document outcomes, and drive issues to logical closure across organizational boundaries.
  • Prepare concise leadership updates that highlight accomplishments, upcoming milestones, decisions required, critical dependencies, risks, mitigations, and schedule impacts.
  • Promote continuous improvement through retrospective actions, delivery metrics, working agreements, and consistent Agile practices adapted to engineering work.
  • Maintain delivery documentation in Confluence and ensure Jira, Confluence, and executive reporting remain aligned and current.
  • Support release readiness, change coordination, stakeholder communications, operational acceptance, and post-release follow-up. Key Deliverables

  • Executive status updates with clear owners, dates, impacts, and mitigation plans
  • Delivery documentation and operational handoff package Success Measures
  • Backlogs are prioritized, actionable, and sufficiently refined before sprint commitment.
  • Sprint, release, and milestone status is visible and supported by current Jira data.
  • Risks, blockers, dependencies, and decisions have clear owners and timely follow-through.
  • Teams maintain predictable delivery commitments while addressing quality and operational readiness.
  • Leadership receives concise, accurate reporting and timely escalation of material impacts.
  • Data Warehouse and Automation / AI deliverables meet documented acceptance and handoff criteria.

  • 5+ years of project management, technical program management, or Scrum delivery experience in technology, infrastructure, data, or engineering environments.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Agile delivery in Jira, including projects, boards, workflows, filters, dashboards, releases, and reports.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a Scrum Master for cross-functional, distributed teams.
  • Practical knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, backlog management, estimation, release planning, dependency management, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience coordinating complex technical initiatives with multiple teams, shared dependencies, and competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly to technical, business, senior leadership, and executive audiences.
  • Proficiency with Confluence or MS Teams
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet, Visio, or draw.io
  • Background in Network Engineering, Service Fabric, IT infrastructure, data platforms, or data center operations.
  • Experience delivering Data Warehouse, analytics enablement, workflow automation, or applied AI initiatives.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, source-to-target dependencies, data quality, APIs, integration testing, model or automation validation, and production-readiness concepts.
  • Experience leading global teams in fast-paced, change-intensive environments.
  • PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), PMI-ACP, SAFe, or comparable certification is desirable.
