Active DoD Secret Required Position Overview The selected engineers will contribute to the development, integration, testing, and maintenance of real-time embedded software supporting advanced launch vehicle systems. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams on technically challenging aerospace and defence programs. This is a 100% onsite position at the Chandler, AZ facility. Key Responsibilities Support the complete software development lifecycle, including: Requirements development Software architecture Detailed design Coding Unit testing Integration and system testing Develop and maintain real-time embedded software for computer systems. Perform software debugging, troubleshooting, integration, and testing. Develop object-oriented software using C/C++ in a Linux environment. Work within real-time operating system (RTOS) environments. Ensure software development complies with applicable engineering and software standards. Collaborate with software, systems, electrical, test, and other multidisciplinary engineering teams. Analyze technical issues and develop effective solutions. Support integration and test activities for embedded computer systems. Document software designs, development activities, test results, and technical findings. Communicate effectively with technical teams and engineering leadership. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Professional experience developing object-oriented software using C/C++. Experience developing embedded software in a Linux environment. Hands-on experience with real-time embedded software development, debugging, and testing. Experience working with an RTOS, such as: VxWorks Integrity LynxOS Yocto Linux Or an equivalent real-time operating system Experience across the full software development lifecycle. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Active DoD Secret security clearance, investigated within the last 5 years. U.S. Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with PowerPC, ARM, and/or RISC-V architectures. Experience with real-time computer-in-the-loop (CIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. Experience developing software interfaces supporting weapon-system integration. Aerospace, defense, launch vehicle, or other safety-critical embedded software experience. Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
